NETA Accelerates Its Expansion in Thailand by Signing an MOU with the Excise Department to Join EV3.5 Measures

Bangkok, April 25, 2024: Recently, Mr. Shu Gangzhi, General Manager, NETA Auto (Thailand) Co., Ltd., together with Dr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Director General of the Excise Department, signed an MoU between NETA and the Excise Department for the second phase of EV support measures (EV3.5). The signing ceremony was held at the Ratchawat meeting room, Excise Department, Ministry of Finance, and joined by NETA's executives along with representatives from the Excise Department.

“The government's EV support measures are key factors that rapidly driving Thailand’s electric vehicle market growth. This initiative not only makes electric vehicles accessible for Thai consumers but also supports growing investment in the EV industry while contributing to its substantial growth. The Excise Department is one of the key stakeholders who works tirelessly to drive these support measures.”

 

“By joining the EV3.5 support program, NETA will introduce a diverse range of innovative electric vehicles to the Thai market. We will start by showcasing the NETA X, a pure electric Compact SUV that stands out from the crowd with its sleek design and spacious interior, catering to the evolving lifestyle and entertainment preferences of the younger generation. It is also equipped with a smart operating system and functionalities. The NETA X is set to be officially launched in June, with the price under 1 million THB. We also have plans to introduce various EV models to meet growing Thai customers’ demands. Meanwhile, we already kicked off the production of NETA V-II in Thailand under the EV 3.0 support measures, the delivery will be starting from mid-May onwards,” said Mr. Shu Gangzhi.
